Baby Care
At the Baby Care level, learning focuses on nurturing, safety, and early stimulation in a warm and caring environment. Children are supported in developing basic motor skills, sensory awareness, and emotional security through play, music, and interaction. Activities are simple and guided, helping infants explore their surroundings safely while building trust and confidence. Caregivers emphasize bonding, communication, and routine, laying a strong foundation for future learning. The goal at this stage is to ensure the child feels safe, loved, and ready to gradually engage with the world around them.
Pre-Primary: PP1 - PP2
At PP1, learners are introduced to structured play-based learning under the Competency-Based Curriculum. Emphasis is placed on developing communication skills, social interaction, and basic numeracy and literacy through songs, storytelling, and creative activities. Children learn through exploration and guided discovery, building confidence and independence. Key areas include language development, environmental awareness, and creative expression. Teachers focus on nurturing curiosity and helping learners adapt to a classroom setting while promoting values such as sharing, respect, and cooperation in a supportive environment.
Primary: Grade 1-6
In PP2, learners build on foundational skills acquired in PP1, with increased focus on early literacy and numeracy. Children begin recognizing letters, sounds, and numbers, and engage in more structured activities that encourage problem-solving and critical thinking. Learning remains play-based but introduces more guided instruction. Social and emotional development continues to be emphasized, along with creativity and communication. Learners are prepared for the transition to primary school by developing confidence, independence, and a positive attitude toward learning in a structured yet engaging environment.
Junior Secondary: Grade 7-9
Grade 1 marks the beginning of lower primary education under CBC, where learners are introduced to core subjects such as literacy, numeracy, environmental activities, hygiene, and creative arts. Teaching is learner-centered, focusing on building competencies through practical activities and real-life experiences. Students develop reading, writing, and basic mathematical skills while also learning teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. Teachers guide learners in understanding their environment and encourage curiosity and creativity. The aim is to establish a strong academic and social foundation for continued learning.
